Lamaze and Breastfeeding Classes - Breastfeeding Consultation

Linda Smith is a licensed master’s prepared Registered Nurse, Woman’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner and a certified Lactation Educator-Consultant. Prior to establishing Education & Consulting Associates, Linda practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in the South Bay Area. She began teaching Lamaze childbirth/breastfeeding classes in 1975. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, University of Central Arkansas and Harbor UCLA’s Nurse Practitioner Program as well as UCLA’s Lactation Education program.

Ms. Smith taught Maternal Child Health Nursing at the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas - College of Nursing as an Associate Professor of Nursing. She has been a guest Lecturer at San Francisco State University and the Harbor-UCLA Nurse Practitioner Program.

Linda is a founding member of the American College of Nurse Practitioners, and a founding member of both Regions 19 and 21 of the California Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to her commitment to Nursing, she is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees of St. Margaret’s Episcopal School in Palm Desert, CA, a member of Palos Art Center “Circle” and the Assistance League of San Pedro-South Bay- Las Profesionales.

Linda has the ability to enhance classes by blending professional education experience with years of hands on maternal-child health nursing experience. Linda is a CEU Provider Approved - California Board of Registered Nurses, CEP # 13208
